Visitors to the Narooma / Eurobodalla BUG are welcome, but should be made aware of the following information regarding insurance.



RISK AND RESPONSIBILITY WARNING:
As a participant in this recreational activity, you may be exposing yourself to a risk of harm. The ride organisers and leaders wish to warn you that there are risks and hazards inherent in cycling activities. You are responsible to take care to prevent putting yourself, your fellow participants and/or others into danger. You are responsible for assessing that your health and fitness is suitable for you to participate in the rides.

You are advised that a negligent cyclist could be litigated by a seriously injured cyclist, or third party (ie. a woman pushing a pram on a footpath or a car driver) under common law.

Hence, cycling without Public Liability cover is not recommended. Join Bicycle NSW http://www.bicyclensw.org.au or a similar organisation for Public Liability insurance, or extend your household insurance cover to provide you Public Liability cover beyond your front fence, so that all riders are better protected. Some house contents policies automatically include this type of cover.

MEMBERSHIP of Eurobodalla BUG
As a participant in any of these rides you are automatically deemed to be a member of Eurobodalla BUG until the last day of the current Calendar year. There is no membership fee. The need for membership of the BUG is an insurance requirement of the BUG's affiliation with Bicycle NSW. There are no personal benefits derived from the membership other than the ability to participate in the ride.

Please note the starting time and place for each ride.

On all rides, please ensure that you have the following:
  • Bike in good mechanical condition
  • Water bottles on bike (at least two 850 ml)
  • Bag(s) to carry food, clothing
  • Food for lunch etc. if food cannot be bought along the route
  • Wet weather gear
  • Adequate clothing in case of a change in the weather
  • Helmet and eye protection
  • Road map of area
  • Basic tool kit
  • Lights if the ride is set to finish late
  • Money for food etc.
